Just Like My Big Brother

I guess I should have know that it wouldn't take too long for Carson to decide he wants to be a pirate just like his big brother Cole. While Cole was gone, Carson took command of the Black Pearl and had a great time sailing it all over the house without Cole yelling at him and taking it away. Carson really thinks he's a big kid too.

This video is short, only 4 seconds but it shows how quick Carson can get around with the aid of a push toy!

This video is 22 seconds, it really shows how silly Carson is, notice the tongue sticking out. That is his new silly "Carson thing".

Denial

I'm a little bit in denial.
How is it possible?
That little boy on my lap is going to Kindergarten this coming school year.
It's official, we registered him yesterday.
Seriously, where did the time go?
As you can imagine, he is so very excited!

A Very Random Post

I know I'm such a slacker at updating this blog lately. I apologize. This weekend we had the flu visit our house. Alan and I both got it Sunday night and felt pretty junky all day Monday and then Monday night Cole got it. So I spent this morning washing sheets and steaming floors. Hopefully little Carson will be exempt.

Friday night I went to Pebbles in my Pocket with some girlfriends and *gasp* I actually scrapbooked! I haven't made a single solitary layout in 2 years. I'm so behind it's scary. I used to really be into scrapbooking and knew all the latest and greatest products, had a couple of publications, worked on a manufacturer's design team and then I just stopped, cold turkey. Anyways, Friday was fun, I got some things accomplished and was motivated by my friends. Thanks girls! Cole tells me all the time that he loves his "memories" and that I need to make Carson some "memories" too. If that's not a reason to continue in this hobby than I don't know what is.

These pages are pretty darn basic but they are done. The bottom layout looks nothing like it did Friday night. Saturday morning I woke up and ripped it apart and totally redid it, lol.

I have been trying to get a picture of Carson's little teeth but it is near impossible. But if you look closely in this picture you can actually see one:

I'm throwing in this picture just because I think it's cute:

And if you are wondering what a 4 year old with the flu does all day then I will tell you, they play Star Wars Lego on the Wii all day long. He is now obsessed with being Boba Fett because he throws bombs and blows things up.

Mr. Mischief and the Messy Phase

*Caught in the act*

Carson has turned into a turbo mess-making machine. So far this week he has emptied the lower kitchen cabinets and strung pans all over the kitchen, unloaded the dishwasher, pulled the food out of the pantry, swished his hands in the toilet, got into my scrapbooking supplies, tipped over the bathroom trash and dragged all sorts of nasty goodies thru' out my bedroom and my favorite: broke a candle by bashing it with a frying pan and then tried to eat the glass.

Also this week he finally got his 2 bottom teeth, Hallelujah!
He's been a busy boy!

Cole's Dream Room

My friend Cammie told me about a really fun Pirates of the Carribean bedroom set she had seen at Costco the other day and knew that Cole would love it. Of course it's not the type of bedroom furniture that will grow with a kid so I probably won't be buying it, but wouldn't it be fun?! I know a little swashbuckler who would have lots of happy pirating dreams while sleeping in this bed.

Black Mater

Alan and Cole have been playing alot of this since Christmas:

Cole likes to be Darth Vader, however he is alittle confused at his name and calls him Black Mater or sometimes Dark Mater. I guess that would be a combinations of this...

and this...
