First Day of 1st Grade

Wow! Summer just flew by and today is the first day of school! I can't believe Cole is a first grader this year. He is growing up so fast! I hope he is having a great time at school. Right now he should be just about finished with lunch time. I hope he likes his teacher, that he's making friends and reconnecting with his pals from last year. I can't wait to pick him up and hear all about the first day!

Waking up was hard to do this morning. He finally got up and had a yummy breakfast of cinnamon toast and bacon (his request).

Then we went outside for pictures.

Soon it was time to put on his backpack and hop in the car.

When we got to school, he threw his stuff down in line and ran off to the playground to find his friends and hardly even glanced back at me. I honored his wishes this year and took NO pictures at school (even though every other Mom on the playground was...)!

We Love To See The Temple

Photobucket

Last week me and the boys, my sister and her girls took a little trip up to Salt Lake City. We were privileged to get tickets to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house (pronounced "oaker"). What a special experience it was to tour the temple and teach our kids about the sacred nature of temples. They really enjoyed seeing it on the inside and asking questions. What a gorgeous building this temple is, I am so grateful for such a wonderful opportunity. The next day was the last day of the open house and then it was being closed to the public, cleaned and prepared to be dedicated to the Lord.
