Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a serious reader. I devour books at a pretty fast rate of speed, lol. I was probably the only kid who saved their money for trips to the bookstore (what a nerd, lol). I was worried once I had kids that I would never have the chance to read a book for me ever again, but I have found that to not be the case. They are my great escape from the real world, a great way to get lost in another time or place. I mainly read at night when the kids are asleep or at least settling down for the night. Anyways, I thought I'd share with you guys some of my recent favorite books and if you have any suggestions for me, I'm always open to great recommendations.
My book club read this one and we are meeting next week to discuss it. It was really good, a compelling look at life in Afghanistan as a woman.
A fun twist on the fairy tale.
Had to see what the buzz was all about and ended up reading Twilight 3 times, lol. Book 3 (Eclipse) comes out on August 7th.
A fun read. I was a little worried at first that it might tackle deep topics in a not so enjoyable way, but it was ok, not too heavy. The characters were fun.
Of course I'm five chapters away from finishing the final Harry Potter book (so no spoilers please).
And then I need to tackle the stack on my nightstand. If any of them are worth reading, I'll let ya know.

Cool! I've been reading Kate to sleep at night, with whatever I'm reading. She seems to enjoy it.
You are such a good book reader. I need to get more into real literary works....You know, ones that have more than 10 words per page.
I'm adding The Book of Bright Ideas to my list - looks up my alley :-)
Might I recommend Skippyjohn Jones?
